Upcoming Webinar: Exploring LIBS for Industry-Wide Recycling and Material Characterisation – A Construction Waste Case Study

ReSoURCE invites you to an expert-led webinar exploring the potential of LIBS technology for chemical detection, its role in industry-wide recycling, and its relevance to the cement sector and beyond.

📅 July 15, 2025 | 🕥 10:30–12:00 CEST | 💻 Online (MS Teams)

📝 Registration closes on July 14th at 18:00 CEST

As part of its mission to advance circularity, the ReSoURCE project is pleased to announce a new webinar showcasing the transformative potential of Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) for chemical analysis across diverse industrial sectors.
Using the construction and demolition waste stream as a case study, the session will highlight how real-time elemental analysis with LIBS can reduce dependency on virgin raw materials and contribute to more sustainable cement production.

What to Expect

The webinar will feature insights from LSA (Laser Analytical Systems & Automation GmbH), a ReSoURCE partner at the forefront of LIBS development. Their session will cover:

  • Fundamental principles of LIBS technology
  • Key advantages and industrial relevance with selected application examples
  • Utilisation of LIBS in cement analysis
  • Set-up configurations and real-world use cases
  • LIBS Demonstration with concrete samples

We are also pleased to welcome guest speakers from the Materials Processing Institute (MPI) in the UK. Their presentation will provide a broader perspective on the state-of-the-art, challenges, and opportunities in sustainable cement and concrete, with a focus on material circularity and innovation.

Why Attend?

This webinar is ideal for professionals in cement manufacturing, construction recycling, and materials science who are looking to:

  • Improve process efficiency and sustainability
  • Learn about cutting-edge elemental analysis technologies
  • Connect with experts driving innovation in circular construction
